The latest System Software update for the PlayStation 5 was deployed earlier today, bringing the firmware to version 22.02-06 with a long list of new features and improvements.

After being released to beta users earlier this year, the PlayStation 5 is now capable of outputting at 1440p via HDMI. Users will need to ensure that their monitor is capable of outputting at the desired resolution, but a testing feature is available directly from the console.
